This email is in regards to my account being permanently banned. My account name is: DAHAMMAN and the account was closed yesterday at around 11.45pm. The reason for the account being banned was "Involvement in online trading activities". While the reasoning behind the ban was fair I believe you have punished the wrong person for the actions of my account, even though the account was mine, I can promise and provide evidence that it was not me on the account at the times of violation.

From 14/02/2008 - 15/02/2008 (guessed times as I have a rough idea of what happened and why).

 

You see I did not log on World of Warcraft on the day of the violation as I was out camping with some friends in Wales.

On the day of the camping trip, in the morning I had received an email from "Blizzard Wrath Beta" with an invitation to an apparent Wrath of The Lich King, closed beta. Of course, when seeing something like this, I was bouncing off the walls! I am sure anyone (like me) would rush to sign up and experience the new content before anyone else, see new sights, items, mobs, instances etc. The email was sort of like a picture, and it really looked real.

 

I hastily downloaded the program and clicked install client, but then coming to a box which told me to upgrade my account. When the burning crusade asked for information to upgrade accounts, I thought of this as nothing different and put in all my information, including Email, Account Name, Account Password, Secret Answer, First and Last name and whether the account was EU or US.

After filling in the information I left the "Downloader" downloading as I left the house with a smile on my face thinking of all the new things that awaited me after I returned from camping... (I still remember the feeling and the gloating towards my friends in the car.)

On the very long drive down to Wales, I had tried calling my parents and realized the fact that my phone had crashed. (Not the first time, Sony Ericson W800i has a problem with the music player screwing up the rest of the phone's things like calling.) After taking out the battery and restarting the phone, I discovered I had at least 4 missed texts from my friend on the server saying that I was online and just speaking or doing anything! Worrying I tried calling my parents asking them to turn off my PC thinking that was the problem, they did so and I though the problem was solved. The rest of the day went along nicely and I went to sleep with a guilty conscience thinking about the apparent "beta invite" and if that had effected my account's security.
