Interesting comparo beewten the Kindle and new Nook. As I may have mentioned I have last Christmas' Kindle and my wife has a first edition Nook (bought it for her in January). We still can't figure out why mine starts up in three seconds and hers takes nearly a minute. My wife may regret not waiting for the latest version. It appears the Nook has its act together. Me, I'm still very happy with my Kindle. Great battery life, rugged (no damage after falling off a table onto a hard deck during a cruise two weeks ago as I reached for my beer), and you can't beat the Kindle store.
